Plates

Cut and machined rolled plate, internally produced by Lucchini, are used in building railways to fasten the rail to the tie-joints.

They are supplied in 10/12m-long bars and made from ST (52), S (235), Fe (360) families, belonging to Lucchini AF range sets, with low carbon and high manganese content. Railway plates are also subject to further machining, including cold shearing (finite-dimension plate), drilling.
